How to Apply — Addiction Medicine Fellowship at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital

ERAS

The Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown addiction medicine fellowship will accept two applicants each year. All applicants must apply through ERAS. Applicants are required to utilize this resource, and we cannot grant interviews or positions without a complete application. Applicants may begin this process on July 6, and match day is Nov. 30. Match Program Participation

We participate in the match program sponsored by the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine and all positions are filled by the NRMP match.  

Candidate Eligibility

All required clinical education for entry into ACGME-accredited fellowship programs must be completed in an ACGME-accredited residency program, an AOA-approved residency program, a program with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation or a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency program located in Canada.

Fellowship programs must receive verification of each entering fellow’s level of competence in the required field, upon matriculation, using ACGME, ACGME-I, or CanMEDS Milestones evaluations from the core residency program. An applicant must be in the final year of their residency training to apply and prior to appointment in the program, fellows must have satisfactorily completed a residency program.
