At Veard Family Birthing Center, we’re committed to ensuring you have the best possible birthing experience. Our newly renovated birthing center offers everything a birthing mom and family could wish for, including labor, delivery and recovery in your spacious birthing suite that feels like home. Veard Family Birthing Center is updated with the latest technology, and staffed with 24/7 OB/Gyn, certified nurse midwives and anesthesia providers and will follow your unique birthing plan as closely as possible and offer alternative labor pain management options like hydrotherapy, massage, relaxation, IV pain medication, therapeutic music, birthing balls, an epidural or nitrous oxide for comfort. We encourage rooming-in with your baby and skin to skin contact immediately following delivery and throughout your stay to facilitate bonding. Each room provides overnight accommodations for your support person to be at your side your entire stay.

If your baby is born prematurely or with special medical needs, they will receive care in our Level II neonatal nursery from our highly skilled team. For high risk pregnancies, we partner with Akron Children’s Hospital to provide Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, providing management throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

Recognized as having Ohio First Steps for Healthy Babies, an Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Hospital Association initiative, while being awarded 7 stars.  Considered a “bag free” hospital since 2013.
