Anderson Hospital Acute Inpatient Rehab

Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it has opened a new and advanced acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital.

The unit marks the next phase of the extensive expansion and renovation project taking place at the hospital, which opened its new patient care tower last year.

With the opening of the $1 million unit on December 20, Anderson Hospital is providing new and enhanced services to residents of Anderson Township, Milford, Batavia, Amelia, Mt. Orab and surrounding communities in Clermont, Adams and Brown counties.

“Anderson Hospital offers the only acute rehab center on the Eastside,” said Jeff Graham, Mercy Health East Market President and CEO. “Previously, patients needing inpatient rehabilitation might have had to go to a nursing home or other facility but with top quality inpatient rehabilitation now available at Anderson Hospital, area residents and their families today have an option that is effective and close to home.”

Comprised of 20 beds, the unit treats patients who have experienced a disabling injury or illness, such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury, and require physical and cognitive rehabilitation programs to help them reach their highest level of functional independence before they return to their home or residence. The unit also provides care for individuals with neurological diseases including multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease as well as rheumatoid arthritis.

The average patient length of stay on the unit is 10-15 days, depending on the patient’s condition.

Anderson Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit is located at 7500 State Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255. Mercy Health – Cincinnati also has inpatient rehabilitation units at Fairfield Hospital, The Jewish Hospital and West Hospital.
