Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it is hosting a Facebook Live discussion on colorectal cancer featuring Mercy Health Physician and colon and rectal surgeon Cory D. Barrat, MD at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 3.
The discussion will take place on Mercy Health – Cincinnati’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/mercyswohio/, where it will also be archived if you can’t catch the discussion live.
Dr. Barrat will join Susan Brown, executive director of Mercy Health - Cincinnati’s cancer service line to help viewers understand how to prevent, detect and treat this common disease. Those watching the livestream can post questions that Susan and Dr. Barratt will answer.
This discussion is part of Mercy Health’s monthly series on cancer related topics, including a demonstration on cancer-fighting foods and last year’s talks on breast cancer screening and metastatic breast cancer awareness.
“There are many things people can do to reduce their risk of developing colorectal cancer and many options for treating this disease if you have it,” says Brown. “Dr. Barrat will help our community under how to lower their risk of developing colorectal cancer and also the treatment options available to them.”
