Mercy Health Sponsors Mercy Neighborhood Ministries’ Hoops and Hops Fundraiser on Saturday, March 18
Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, is a sponsor of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries’ Hoops & Hops fundraiser.
This March Madness-themed event takes place from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Purcell Marion High School, located at 2935 Hackberry St, Cincinnati, OH 45206. Guests, who must be 21 and over to attend, will enjoy the NCAA college tournament on big screen TVs. There will be a wide selection of food, beer, wine and other beverages available for purchase. Tickets are $10 at the door. For a $25 share, you can join a team with the chance to win $10,000 during a half-court shot contest. There will be other contests and raffles at which you can test your luck.

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, a unique not-for-profit, social service organization located in Cincinnati, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Mercy Neighborhood Ministries will host a series of fundraising events throughout the year to help expand the work of the ministry. Hoops & Hops is the first of these fundraisers.
The ministry, located in East Walnut Hills concentrates is efforts on the following three key initiatives primarily for residents of Walnut Hills and the surrounding area:
- educating for life
- training for employment
- helping seniors age in place
Its mission is to promote the empowerment of individuals with a special focus on disadvantaged women and seniors through proven programs that educate, foster self-sufficiency and support enhanced quality of life. Its core values are very similar to Mercy Health’s and include:
