Mercy Health Foundation Presents “Angels Among Us,” a Celebration Featuring Country Superstar Martina McBride and Acclaimed Author Sam Quinones

Mercy Health Foundation announces that the second “Angels Among Us” event, presented by US Acute Care Solutions, will take place Saturday, April 29, at the Duke Energy Convention Center, located at 525 Elm Street in Cincinnati, 45202.

This special evening of celebration honors the 2017 Mercy Health Angel Award recipients—dedicated and selfless caregivers who excel in compassion and service and live our mission every day.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails followed at 7 p.m. by dinner, program and auction. Journalist, storyteller, former LA Times reporter and author Sam Quinones, who wrote Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic, will discuss how a commitment to human dignity impacts the opiate addiction crisis. Multi-platinum, Grammy nominated recording artist, author and humanitarian Martina McBride provides entertainment.

Proceeds benefit the Mercy Health opiate addiction initiative, which will:

  • Connect people a treatment facility when needed/appropriate quickly and seamlessly
  • Train staff to identify people with opiate addiction issues who need treatment
  • Expand placement of Medsafe boxes for proper disposal of opiates
  • Ease access to treatment for patients have transportation issues

Tickets are $150 per person. Sponsorship packages are available and start at $2,500. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit MercyHealthAngels.com or call 513-952-5300.

The previous event attracted more than 600 people and raised over $250,000 for the Mercy Health Partnership Program, which helps meet the needs of the working uninsured or working poor who have no health insurance.
