Cincinnati, OH – Mercy Health— Cincinnati is thrilled to announce that two of its esteemed vascular surgeons, Todd M. Bayer, MD, and Richard B. Fries II, MD, have been recognized in Newsweek’s inaugural list of America’s Best Vascular Surgeons for 2024. This prestigious list highlights the top 200 vascular surgeons nationwide, as curated by Newsweek in partnership with the data intelligence platform Statista.
The rankings were compiled using a comprehensive analysis of physician performance data derived from Medicare, courtesy of the clinical analytics provider CareJourney. They also included insights from an online survey of medical experts, quality of care scores from peers, as well as the American Board of Surgery certifications held by each surgeon. Notably, only vascular surgeons from states with the most practicing physicians were eligible for consideration, making this recognition even more significant.
“We could not be more proud of Dr. Bayer and Dr. Fries for being named two of America’s best vascular surgeons,” said Brian Gwyn, President of Mercy Health— Cincinnati. “Mercy Health is committed to providing a world-class experience to our patients in the greater Cincinnati area, and employing the best talent is vital to that strategy.
