Mercy Health – Lorain has once again been awarded the NorthCoast 99 award by the Employer’s Resource Council (ERC) as one of Northeast Ohio’s 99 best places to work. This is the tenth (10th) time that Mercy Health – Lorain, which includes Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital, formerly Mercy Regional Medical Center and Mercy Health Allen Hospital in Oberlin. 

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program and event in its 21st year that honors 99 great Northeast Ohio workplaces for top talent. “More than a business award or event, NorthCoast 99 is a yearlong research project ERC established to help employers make a difference in the lives of people working and living in our 22-county region,” noted ERC senior vice president Carrie Morse, who has overseen the program for the last 17 years. 

Awardees of the NorthCoast 99 award are evaluated based on policies and practices related to the attraction and retention of top performers, as well as data collected from employee surveys – ultimately, allowing organizations such as Mercy Health to continue to innovate and grow to serve the community they operate within for decades more.
