Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital Recognized for Performance Leadership by the Chartis Center for Rural Health
URBANA, OHIO (December 19, 2024) – Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital is pleased to announce it has been recognized with a 2024 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Outcomes. Compiled by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Awards honor top quartile performance (i.e., 75th percentile or above) among rural hospitals in Quality, Outcomes and/or Patient Perspective.
“We are honored to once again receive this recognition, which highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering the highest quality care to patients, especially here in our rural community. I’m incredibly proud of our team’s dedication to compassionate care, as this award reflects their unwavering passion for excellence, as well as the trust our community places in Mercy Health,” said Jamie Houseman, President of Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital.
The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals are performing. INDEX benchmarks are relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health around the country to measure and monitor performance across several areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
“The Performance Leadership Awards capture the commitment, diligence, and innovation with which America’s rural hospitals approach the delivery of care within their communities,” said Troy Brown, Network Consultant, The Chartis Center for Rural Health. “It’s a tremendous honor to be able to recognize the efforts of this year’s award winners and celebrate their achievements as part of National Rural Health Day.”
