To help meet the needs of our growing community, Mercy Health has committed to invest in the expansion of our labor and delivery space at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

As the region’s only hospital to be named to Newsweek’s 2020 list of Best Maternity Care Hospitals, Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital remains committed to providing nationally recognized care close to home. To further solidify this commitment, the hospital will undergo a $3.1 million expansion to the existing unit, allowing for three additional rooms to provide care for area mothers, newborns and their families.

Construction at the Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital Family Birthing Center is set to begin in the spring of 2023 and is expected to last about 12 months.

The Tiffin Hospital Family Birthing Center provides maternity services to nearly 800 families each year. With experienced, compassionate staff and private, home-like accommodations, Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital delivers the perfect environment for new beginnings.

Expertly trained labor and delivery teams ensure that mothers and babies receive the highest level of care throughout their stay. Additionally, our private rooms are equipped with the most advanced equipment to ensure the safety of mother and baby. 

For families who require a higher level of care, there will be a seamless transition of care in partnership with Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center, a Level IV regional perinatal health care center, where the most complex maternal conditions are treated.

Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital is an acute care facility offering primary care and specialty physicians, robotic surgery, women's care, inpatient, outpatient and emergency care.
