Youngstown Leadership

In this role, Dr. Luellen is responsible for the strategic development and operational stewardship in the Youngstown region including all hospital and ancillary service operations. Additionally, Dr. Luellen oversees the network of Physicians which includes employed, affiliated and those participating in the CIN. His vision for the Youngstown market is one rooted in commitment  to provide influential and aspirational leadership as he helps extend Youngstown’s more than 100-year-old mission of serving those who need us most.

Dr. Luellen joined Mercy Health – Youngstown in September of 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and assumed the role as Market President in November of the same year. He brings more than 20 years of experience in health care from his time as an emergency physician through his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer at Heritage Valley Health System in Pennsylvania. His experience as a clinician and focus on quality and service line growth provides him the necessary tools to help continue to influence our quality for patients and their families.

As the Youngstown market chief clinical officer, Dr. James Kravec is responsible for providing physician executive leadership for the Youngstown region’s clinical enterprises (hospital medical staff involved with acute care delivery, Mercy Health Physicians and Mercy Health Select). He oversees the overall mission, strategic leadership and the assurance of quality care delivery for those clinical enterprises as well as their integration.  Dr. Kravec also serves as the system medical director for Graduate Medical Education for Bon Secours Mercy Health.  In the role, he leads operations, strategy and growth for the physician residency programs through the system which currently includes six markets, 39 resident and fellowship programs and 460 residents and fellows.

Dr. Kravec is a Youngstown native and was born at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He graduated from Youngstown State University and earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and completed his residency in internal medicine at Summa Health Akron City Hospital. He is board certified in both internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine and he graduated from the Mercy Health Leadership Academy in 2012. He actively practices internal medicine in the Ambulatory Care Center and is a faculty member of the internal medicine residency and transitional year residency at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

He has been with Mercy Health since graduating residency in 2005 and has served in various roles in Youngstown. He has served as program director of the St. Elizabeth Youngstown Transitional Residency and as associate medical director of Hospice of the Valley and most recently as President of Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown and as a board member of Mercy Health Physicians. As a medical staff leader, he has served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine and Treasurer/Secretary of the medical staff St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. At NEOMED, he has served as President of the Alumni Association, internal medicine clerkship director and Section Chief of General Internal Medicine for the Department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Kravec is married to Dr. Cynthia Kravec and has four children, James, Sarah, Michael and Maria and live in Canfield, Ohio

Stacie Call, RN, MSN, NE-BC
Chief Nursing Officer, Mercy Health – Lorain and Youngstown

Stacie Call, RN, MSN, NE-BC, is the cross-market chief nursing officer, Mercy Health – Lorain and Mercy Health – Youngstown. In this role, Stacie works in close collaboration with all nursing associates at Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital, Mercy Health – Allen Hospital, Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital and Mercy Health – St. Joseph Warren Hospital as well as the ancillary sites such as Howland Surgery Center, Austintown Emergency Department, Urgent Care and more. Stacie works diligently to further enhance the patient experience through the alignment of nursing practice with that of the mission that continues to drive the Youngstown ministry. She represents thousands of nurses across all aspects and level of care – all while ensuring the highest standards for professional practice.

Since joining Mercy Health in 2014, Stacie has worked in her role as Chief Nursing Officer for St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital to develop and enhance nursing operations at the 275-bed facility. She has worked alongside front-line staff as volumes at the Boardman facility have grown exponentially and has led with our patient and our nurses at the center of all decisions made.

Stacie earned her bachelor of nursing from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Master of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and is currently working on her doctorate of nursing degree at Purdue University Global.

Martin Tursky
Chief Operation Officer, Mercy Health – Lorain and Youngstown

Martin Tursky is the chief operating officer for the Mercy Health − Lorain and Youngstown cross-market. Prior to this position, Martin joined the ministry as chief operating officer (COO) for the Youngstown market in 2020. As COO, Martin has strategic operational oversight for all hospital facilities, service lines and ancillary services in the market. Martin began his career in the U.S. Army. Following his Army service, Martin began his leadership in health care, spending 11 years with Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. There he served as several assistant vice presidents, vice president and as chief information officer. He then spent two years leading the team at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in Pawtucket, as COO and then as president and CEO. After returning to Ohio, he served Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky as president and CEO for six years. Martin then became president and CEO at McLaren Central Michigan, a health system located in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
