Meet the Director and Team — Pharmacy Residency at The Jewish Hospital

Welcome from the Program Director

Welcome to the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio! I sincerely appreciate your interest in our program and your consideration of us as you take the next step in your professional journey. Our program is committed to providing a supportive, challenging and rewarding learning environment that prepares residents to become knowledgeable, confident and compassionate practitioners.

Our program offers residents a wide range of clinical experiences designed to strengthen clinical judgment, expand your knowledge and develop the skills needed to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. Throughout the year, you will work alongside experienced preceptors, collaborate with other healthcare professionals and care for patients with a variety of needs.

At The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health, we believe that pharmacy practice extends well beyond medication expertise. It requires compassion, collaboration, leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement. Throughout your residency, you will have opportunities to refine your clinical skills, engage in research, contribute to medication safety and develop the communication and leadership skills essential to your future practice. Our goal is to help each resident recognize their strengths, explore their professional interests, and build a strong foundation for a fulfilling career in pharmacy.

Residency is an intensive year of growth, discovery, and professional development. Our team is dedicated to supporting you through the challenges of residency while celebrating your accomplishments along the way. We take pride in fostering a collaborative learning environment where residents are valued members of the healthcare team and active contributors to the care we provide to our patients and community.

I am proud of the learning environment we have built at The Jewish Hospital and the opportunity to help residents grow into knowledgeable, compassionate, and confident pharmacists.
