Meet the Director and Team — Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship at The Jewish Hospital

Welcome from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the Cincinnati SportsMedicine and Orthopaedic Center Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. The fellowship education program at Cincinnati SportsMedicine and Orthopaedic Center is nationally acclaimed for offering one of the country’s finest post-residency, specialty training experiences for orthopedic surgeons. The Center was one of the first in the country to offer sports medicine fellowships and, since 1978, has created one of the most comprehensive programs in the nation. Our staff is dedicated to maintaining this high standard of excellence. More than 155 physicians have graduated from the program to date.

Our sports medicine fellowship is an AANA/AOSSM recognized fellowship and is accredited by the ACGME. Each year we provide training to four physicians who have completed a five-year orthopedic residency program. The fellowship offers clinical, surgical and sports medicine training in areas of the knee, shoulder, elbow and hip. Fellows rotate with dedicated physicians in busy surgical and clinical practices, have independent high school sports coverage responsibilities, attend twice-weekly teaching conferences and monthly bioskills sessions and complete mentored research projects.  

The sports medicine fellowship program at The Jewish Hospital Cincinnati/Cincinnati SportsMedicine and Orthopaedic Center is committed to providing a robust clinical, didactic and operative experience for our fellows.

Frank R. Noyes, MD | Program Director

Medical School: George Washington University
Residency: University of Michigan

Dr. Noyes is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a form ABOS examiner. Dr. Noyes specializes in ACL, PCL, and complex knee instability, cartilage restoration, meniscus repair and transplant, robotic partial and total knee replacement, and sports medicine. Dr. Noyes brings leadership, clinical experience, and passion to his role in medical education.
