Lifestyle in the Area

Located on Lake Erie in Northwest Ohio, Toledo has a population of more than 275,000 people. It is nicknamed “The Glass City” due to the historical significance of glass manufacturing in the area. There are many wonderful activities in the area including the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art and an extensive Metroparks system. Other options include attending festivals and events, supporting the local sports teams and dining out at one of the numerous restaurants in the area.

What to Expect

During the course of this 12-month program, the PGYv1 pharmacy resident will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. Pharmacist preceptors will model behaviors and provide support as the resident becomes more independent in each practice area. A customized plan will be developed for each resident during orientation and updated quarterly. The resident will need to employ time management skills to balance patient care responsibilities with longitudinal projects.
