Program Overview
Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center (MHSVMC) is the critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, a faith-based system serving seven states. Over the course of this program, residents will refine their skills in leadership, teaching, practice management and patient care through active participation in multidisciplinary rounding, code teams and various committees. Residents will serve as co-preceptors for pharmacy students and PGY 1 residents on clinical rotations and have the opportunity for didactic lectures as well as a teaching certificate at the University of Findlay. Critical care areas include burn, surgical, neurological, trauma, medical, cardiac, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, as well as emergency medicine and infectious disease.
The pharmacy department at MHSVMC provides comprehensive clinical and distributive service via a central pharmacy operating 24 hours a day, several decentralized locations and multiple ambulatory sites. Currently we have one position for a critical care PGY 2 and also offer three PGY 1 residency positions as well as a PGY 2 in ambulatory care.
