- VISA UPDATE: Effective 2/3/2026, the eligibility requirements have changed for all residency and fellowship training programs at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center. For this 2027 Main Residency Match and SOAP, the institution has made the difficult decision not to accept or sponsor any visas for incoming residents for the academic year beginning July 1, 2027. This includes all visas and subtypes, including J-1 and H-1B. We recognize this will be difficult news for some of you, and we sincerely empathize with the stress and disappointment it may bring. We are providing this information promptly so that candidates may construct their Rank Order List with the most accurate information. We wish all of you a successful Match!
