Application Requirements
To be considered for the program, a completed ERAS application must include:
- An official Dean’s Letter or Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) from your medical school
- Two or more letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Medical school transcript
- MD Applicants: USMLE 1 and 2 scores
- DO Applicants: COMLEX 1 and 2 scores AND USMLE 1 and 2 scores
Candidate Eligibility
Basic requirements for consideration of applications:
- US citizenship, US permanent residency, or ability to obtain an H-1B or J-1 Visa
- MD or DO degree from a medical school in the U.S. or Canada within the last five years.
- International medical school graduates must have a valid ECFMG certification
- Completed ERAS application
International Medical Graduate (IMG) applicants must meet the following qualifications for full consideration:
- U.S. health care experience
- Valid ECFMG certification at the time of match
- We prefer all listed USMLE and COMLEX exams to be passed on the first attempt.
- H-1B Visa applicants will need to have passed Step 3 by the first date of employment
*H-1B Visas are preferred. If premium processing is required for an H-1B Visa, this will be at the expense of the applicant. J1 Visas are offered on a very limited case-by-case basis.
