Meet the Director and Team — Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program at St. Vincent Medical Center

Welcome from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the PGY 2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center (MHSVMC). Our site has a long history as the critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, a faith-based system spanning seven states. Advantages of working in a larger hospital system include opportunities for a wide variety of rotations and a chance to participate in system-wide drug policy development.

The pharmacy department at MHSVMC serves a diverse patient population as a Level I Trauma Center, regional burn referral center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a children’s hospital onsite. In addition to the PGY2 Critical Care program, we also offer a PGY2 in ambulatory care as well a PGY1 program.  Preceptors are actively engaged in helping each resident meet their full potential based on their specific areas of interest. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based medicine, leadership, and patient safety.

Other unique program aspects include a teaching program in collaboration with the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy and certifications in adult as well as pediatric advanced cardiac life support. Please explore the website to learn more about our program. We look forward to the possibility of meeting and working with you in the future.
